L’Aquilone Farmhouse and Educational Farm is not only a venue for group stays, school camps, and summer holidays for children and teenagers, but it is also a magical place where everyone can relax, have fun, and find a balance in perfect harmony with nature and its elements.
L’Aquilone is located in the municipality of Gubbio, Umbria, at the foot of the Umbria-Marche Apennines, in an area rich in naturalistic and historical-artistic excellence, villages, parish churches, convents, ancient woods and a few kilometers from the Monte Cucco Regional Park and the splendid cities of Assisi and Perugia.

We take great care in our cuisine, using our own and local products whenever possible. We also cater to celiacs, vegetarians, and special diets.

Life on the Farm
In addition to the many games to play together, the L’Aquilone educational farm offers visits to the farm’s animals and crops, with explanations, small agricultural workshops (sowing, transplanting, firewood collection, caring for the farm’s small animals), cooking activities (baking bread, homemade pasta, preserves, and jams), kite-making, ceramics, searching for animal tracks and plaster casts, treasure hunts, tournaments, and orienteering.
Uncontaminated nature
The location is ideal for stays immersed in nature, which here maintains its appearance and charm unchanged.
The educational farm is surrounded by woods, meadows, and an olive grove where olives are still harvested by hand.
Family Stays
During some special periods (Christmas and Easter holidays, and some spring weekends), Aquilone organizes stays open to both individual children and families.
These periods are a great opportunity to make new friends and spend pleasant days surrounded by nature, in a region full of activities.
It’ll be wonderful to gather around the fireplace in the evenings to sing together and share our adventures!
You can also participate in farm activities and, with a little luck, you might even witness the birth of new chicks, ducklings, or bunnies.
Family weekends are the perfect opportunity to get to know us and our facility!
Family rates start at €70 per day with full board.
Half board is also available.

The structure has 16 rooms with private bathroom for 2 to 4 people (up to 6 people for educational farm activities).
Efficient and adjustable heating room by room.
10 meters from the main building, a small annex with 2 other large bedrooms with bathrooms.
Two large rooms, with fireplaces, in addition to the dining room, allow you to pleasantly spend your free time or hold workshops, meetings, or gatherings.
